South Korea

Seoul & Busan

Eight days in Korea at the height of cherry blossom season. Move from Seoul’s palaces and studios to Busan’s coastline and seaside temples, with an artist in residence guiding you through hands-on creative sessions along the way.

Sample Itinerary

Day One: Arrival
A private transfer takes you from the airport to your hotel. In the evening, meet your cohort and your first artist in residence over a welcome dinner, then stay for an optional mixer.

Day Two: Full Group Day

Explore Seoul’s palaces and temples in hanbok, with cherry blossoms in full bloom. After learning Korean calligraphy by hand, escape to a waterfront café where the city’s pace softens into a slower, modern side of Seoul. In the evening, we close with an orchestra performance and dinner alongside the musicians.

Day Three: A Day in the Studio
Step into your artist in residence’s studio for a hands-on workshop, with no experience needed. Spend the afternoon at a listening bar and along the Han River, then sit down to one of Seoul’s most celebrated tasting menus.
Optional: Bike the Hangang path.

Day Four: Free Day

Set out on your own with a curated list of recommendations. Your host’s picks include skin analysis, personal color consultations, head spas, and K-beauty shopping. In the evening, we reunite for dinner and bingsu.

Day Five: On to Busan
Start with a morning stroll through a historic hanok village, where traditional tile-roofed homes line quiet lanes, or sleep in before riding the high-speed train to the coast. In Busan, learn  the art of kimchi making with a local family, and end the night at a lively night market.

Optional: Take a glittering night cruise along the city’s sparkling coastline.

Day Six: Oceanside Wonders
Watch the sun rise over Haedong Yonggungsa, a temple on the rocks above the sea. Wander Gamcheon’s painted hillsides, try mother-of-pearl inlay art, and unwind at a jjimjilbang. In the evening, meet your second artist in residence over a farm-to-table dinner.

Day Seven: Restore & Recharge
Start with an oceanfront brunch, followed by a private tour of your artist’s newest exhibit. The afternoon is yours, and we gather in the evening for our final cohort dinner.

Day Eight: Farewell for Now
Private transfers take you to the airport. You arrived as travelers and leave as friends. Annyeonghi gaseyo!

    Lead Host

    Imani B.

Imani’s love affair with Korea began on screen and has since taken her across the country more than ten times, from Seoul’s buzzing neighborhoods to Busan’s seaside film scene. With years in the Korean film and entertainment industry, she has been invited by the Korean government to speak at the Busan International Film Festival and BCWW, and she’s built lasting relationships with the storytellers and artists shaping the culture the world can’t stop talking about. And because she speaks Korean, you’ll never feel lost in translation, whether you’re bargaining at a local market or chatting with an artisan in her studio. With WIIT, she’s created the trip she always wished existed: one that goes beyond the tourist trail, celebrates the arts and brings women together to experience Korea the way it deserves to be seen.
